WWE Backlash 2020: 5 possible opponents for Bayley

This idea comes courtesy of @RosePlanted on Twitter, and it makes a ton of sense. Like, beyond Liv Morgan vs. Bayley being an absolute dream match that a LOT of wrestling fans would love to see, this match would be fantastic from a booking standpoint.

When Bayley was a babyface SmackDown Women’s Champion in the summer of 2019, she made it clear that she wanted to help put over as many up-and-coming stars in the division as possible. Hence why she and Ember Moon had a match at SummerSlam.

That dream match didn’t land for two reasons. Firstly, the babyface vs. babyface dynamic didn’t come off correctly. Secondly, WWE didn’t build up Ember enough before the match and botched the booking of this feud before SummerSlam.

However, Liv vs. Bayley wouldn’t have either issue. Bayley is one of the roster’s top heels right now; there is no question about that. Meanwhile, Morgan is being pushed as a babyface on Raw and recently took decorated NXT Champion Charlotte Flair to her limit.

So Morgan is more than ready for a Pay Per View title match with one of the best in the business. And as with her loss to Charlotte, she would not suffer from losing to Bayley early into her push.
