5 Post-WWE Matches for Drew Gulak
By Bryan Heaton

I was very tempted to just write “ninth man in the Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing,” but figured that’s cheating. Sure, I’d love to see Drew Gulak show up in AEW and immediately make a statement, but it seems too good to be true, so we’ll pass on that for now.
But a singles match against PAC? Now, THAT would be a match and a half, wouldn’t it? Obviously, it would take a little while to become possible, what with travel restrictions in place for now. But once these two cruiserweight standouts can be in the same ring, it’s a recipe for success.

Shockingly, the former Neville and Drew Gulak never squared off while in WWE. I had to go back and check, because I could have sworn that during the Neville/Enzo feud, Gulak would have been offered up as a sacrifice by Enzo. But it never happened! Seems like such a waste, doesn’t it?
However, sometimes the world is good to us, and provides a chance to rectify past mistakes. Now, we have PAC – who has seen his stock rise since joining the AEW roster, washing away the stink of the end of his WWE tenure – and Drew Gulak, fresh off a program where he was associated with one of the top stars in arguably the biggest and most popular wrestling promotion in North America.
Rather than just a time-killer on a cruiserweight show that was doomed to fail, these two competitors could have a legitimate chance to tear down the house on an actual wrestling program, if not a pay-per-view event. Both are excellent technicians, and adding in the high-flying prowess of PAC would be icing on the cake.
Who would you like to see Drew Gulak face now that he’s a free agent?
