Since George Floyd’s murder last week, wrestlers have been speaking out about the injustice of police brutality. Some wrestlers are donating to causes related to Black Lives Matter.

George Floyd’s senseless murder by Minnesota police has triggered national outrage. As people have taken to the streets to protest Floyd’s murder, police brutality and racial discrimination, some wrestlers have been trying to help by donating to organizations that support Black Lives Matter.

One of the first wrestlers that I saw committing a portion of merch sales was the tag team known as Revolt. Zane Riley and Caleb Konley donated a portion of merch sales today to Reclaim The Block.

This coalition is “to demand that Minneapolis divest from policing and invest in long-term alternatives.”

While they’ve already made a donation, they will be making another donation to Charlotte Bail Support. They help to post bail for protestors in Charlotte, NC.

Former Revolt member, Darius Lockhart, is practicing what he preaches (“Be A Revolutionary”) by donating 100% of his merch proceeds until further notice to three organizations: Reclaim The Block, Black Visions Collective and North Star Health Collective.

Black Visions Collective is “a Black-led, Queer and Trans centering organization whose mission is to organize powerful, connected Black communities and dismantle systems of violence. We do this through building strategic campaigns, investing in Black leadership, and engaging in cultural and narrative organizing.”

The North Star Health Collective works “in alliance with mainstream and anti-authoritarian organizations to create safe and healthy events. We stand in solidarity with the need for diverse strategies and tactics. We will not denounce fellow activists or organizations. That said, we believe in harm reduction. We are working behind the scenes to reduce risks. We believe in maintaining open lines of communication.”

Some of you know SUGE D by his alter ego, “Pineapple Pete.” He, too ,is donating 100% of merch profits from this month to Black Lives Matter and The Trevor Project.

June is Pride Month. The Trevor Project is “the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ Youth.”

Allie Kat is donating all profits from her PURRIDE stickers to LGBTQ foundations that specifically help people of color.

One of the biggest names so far to get involved is Sonya Deville. $5 of the sale of any DaMandyz Pride merchandise in June will go to The Trevor Project.

Fellow WWE Superstar, Dakota Kai has also gotten involved. She streamed today on her Twitch and raised more than $1100 for Reclaim The Block.

Blackcraft Cult is a company that has made collaboration apparel with wrestlers such as Seth Rollins and Aleister Black. They will match and donate 100% of proceeds of every dollar on their
F*** Racism shirt. It will be donated to the George Floyd Memorial Fund.

Organizations from across the pond are also getting involved. RIPTIDE Wrestling is encouraging fans to donate to Stand Up To Racism (Anti Racism Day), Black Lives Matter, or any other anti-racism organizations that support protestors.

Stand Up To Racism “campaigns against racism, fascism, Islamophobia and antisemitism.”

Wrestling Resurgence is donating all sales from Roy Johnson’s Everything Patterned show and magazine will be donated to Black Lives Matter.

Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven released their original British Strong Style shirt with 100% of the proceeds being donated (a specific organization wasn’t named, just that it will “raise money for #BlackLivesMatter”). In the first three hours, they sold almost 800 shirts.

Next. Thank you, Alexa Bliss, for standing up to misogyny and bullying. dark
