The fight is over, The War Is On
The interference by Candice LeRae and Mia Yim during a match of their counterparts confirms that this fight is far from over. It is a given that the current North American Champion is not afraid of any obstacle presented to him and Johnny Wrestling takes the fight to his opponent at all times.
We saw this character attribute when he fought with Tomasso Ciampa and Aleister Black on different occasions. Even while now playing the heel of the feud and while Johnny Gargano didn’t win the match, he still brought the fight to the current champion.
It would be great to see how Johnny rekindles his heel character and makes it believable than ever before because this time around, he has his wife by his side. Mia Yim is a fantastic performer, and The HBIC can bring down any opponent as well as help them uplift their career. Candice is at that stage of her career where she needs some good competition and there’s nothing better than the IT couple of NXT.
Continuing the feud with Lee and Yim could help revive the careers of their respective opponent, and in turn, it would be amazing to see Johnny elevate his heelish character to the best possible level.
