WWE June 2020 Power Rankings: Randy Orton Has Reached Another Level of Greatness
By Mark Justice
5.) Zelina Vega
Zelina Vega has been an excellent manager for Andrade and Angel Garza, stealing the show during a rough time for Monday Night Raw. Her clients are currently targeting the Street Profits’ Raw Tag Team Championships. Although Andrade lost the United States Championship to Apollo Crews recently, Vega continues to find him and Garza title opportunities by any means necessary while also keeping them on the same page.
4.) IIconics
IIconics made a huge return to the WWE this month. It was expected that they would win the Women’s Tag Team Championships by now, but they have failed to do so on three separate occasions. Nonetheless, they are key components of the Women’s Tag Team Division that would fall apart without them.
3.) Nia Jax
Despite her injurious reputation, Nia Jax has stirred the pot in the Raw Women’s Division. Along with her Raw Women’s Championship feud against Asuka, she took Charlotte Flair out of commission. It doesn’t seem that Jax is in line for a championship run but a championship opportunity is still owed to her after she got robbed in what was a screw job orchestrated by referee, John Cone.
2.) Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair has been an absolute workhorse in the WWE, wrestling on all three brands on a weekly basis. When it comes to Charlotte’s diligence and in-ring abilities, there’s no debate as to how great they are. When it comes to the exposure of her character, it would be disingenuous to neglect this booking flaw.
If the rumors are true of Charlotte being off television until 2021, this scenario would be a blessing in disguise for Charlotte, who has been vilified and hated for a long time now. A long break from the WWE fanbase is necessary for the fans to miss her and appreciate her presence once she returns with fresh ideas for her character.
1.) Asuka
Asuka is the current Raw Women’s Champion. She retained the championship against both Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair since winning it in the MITB Ladder Match. Defeating Charlotte Flair solidified her title run, especially since she has never defeated Charlotte in a high stake title match and needed redemption from WrestleMania 34 when Charlotte ended her streak.
Raw is now her show, and she has the championship to prove it. Since the Raw Women’s Championship was bestowed on Asuka by Becky Lynch, it is very likely that Asuka will continue to legitimate that bestowment by retaining against game competition, including against Sasha Banks at WWE Extreme Rules 2020.
