Akira Tozawa vs. R-Truth for the 24/7 Title

Result: R-Truth wins back the 24/7 Championship

Akira Tozawa was in the ring with his ninjas (no, I still can’t believe this storyline either) for a 24/7, 7/11, I-95 South European Television Championship match against R-Truth.

Last week, Tozawa pinned Truth to win the 24/7 Title after the greatest 24/7 Champion in the title’s history had already been knocked out. So Truth is 100 percent out for revenge and is ready to win his “baby” back from this new version of Tozawa. But as Samoa Joe brought up on commentary, Tozawa only did what anyone else would have done to win the title. It’s anything goes!

Tozawa went for an early roll-up on Truth, looking to run away with the title quickly. But Truth was in for a fight, so the two began grappling again, with Truth using his strength and veteran experience to outmaneuver the former Cruiserweight Champion.

To get the win, Truth used some more veterean guile, faking a knee injury and then swooping in low to roll up Tozawa to win back the 24/7 Title!

Just as he was celebrating, a ninja nearly pinned Truth to win the title! More ninjas emerged, so Truth had to speed away with the title in his hand…a familiar site. It’s not easy to stay on top of the 24/7 Division, is it!

Grade: C+, An absolutely ridiculous match, and I don’t mean that in a bad way either. It’s great to see R-Truth as the 24/7 Champion again!
