Becky Lynch always does her best to help other wrestlers succeed.

Although Becky Lynch became the top star in WWE in 2019, she has done everything she can to put those around her in a position to succeed. And that includes asking the company to put someone else over in a major title match.

Speaking on The Bellas Podcast – which is excellent, by the way – Becky said that she and Seth Rollins planned on having a child, and she pitched having Shayna Baszler defeat her for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36:

"“I knew I wanted to try and have a baby before 35, then I met [Seth Rollins] and was like, ‘Perfect, this is my person.’ This was always the plan. Originally, I was like, ‘I’ll wait until I’m done wrestling, then I’ll have a family.’ Then I started thinking, ‘Why do I have to do that? Guys don’t have to do that. Hell, I’ll just do it whenever the time feels right.’ We started trying and I thought it would take a long time, and it didn’t, we were super lucky. It happened before I would have expected and I was still champ at the time. I actually thought I was going to lose the title at WrestleMania, which I also pitched, but that was the end of it. Plans change.”"

Becky was also the one who pitched the next Raw Women’s Champion winning a No. 1 Contender’s match, but then learning that the match was actually to become the next champion without having to face Lynch, who could not wrestle by then.

That No. 1 Contender’s match ended up being the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, won by Asuka. And by the way, Becky was the one who reportedly pushed really hard, along with Paul Heyman, for The Empress to win the Raw Women’s Title.

So as you can see, Becky does whatever she can to help other wrestlers succeed, even to the point where she was willing to drop the championship to Baszler. At the time, many WWE fans thought Shayna would win, seeing as how she had the most dominant in in Elimination Chamber history and was coming into the main roster as a huge star from NXT. She even beat Becky and Bayley in the champion vs. champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series.

Baszler can still capture the championship in 2020, but it will be against Asuka, who is a great champion in her own right. Because right now, the selfless Becky Lynch is busy taking on the  important task of being a mother.
