AEW has recently signed FTR and Eddie Kingston and may be working with Ariane Andrew and Matt Cardona for longer, too, but who is Chris Jericho dreaming of getting?

Although AEW Dynamite has been airing for less than a year, it’s already doing pretty well in the ratings for a pro wrestling show going head-to-head with another pro wrestling show in 2020, and the online fan base is absolutely diehard for this new product.

Chris Jericho was signed as the biggest name for the new company, and after holding the AEW World Title before putting over Jon Moxley, he’s now helping a true rising star of the industry in Orange Cassidy.

AEW has been hiring a lot of talented wrestlers even during the pandemic, recently picking up one of the best promos in the business in Eddie Kingston, who blew the world away with his work with Cody Rhodes in a TNT Title match.

But Jericho has some truly huge names in mind as dream signings, and it’s never bad for a company to think big.

On his Saturday Night Special stream, with a hat tip to Sportskeeda’s Karan Bedi, Jericho was asked to list the five people he’d love to see in AEW the most.

His picks? Roman Reigns, Will Ospreay, Ricochet, Kota Ibushi, and Don Callis.

Yeah. Those are some pretty big names!

I love it when wrestlers praise Roman Reigns, because he’s a huge star and an awesome guy. And those are the two exact ways Jericho praised Reigns. He’s never ever going to AEW (OK, fine, never say never in wrestling, right?), but it’s just great to hear kind words for him.

Ricochet is a super-talented wrestler who can be one of the biggest babyfaces in WWE, but the company just isn’t using him right. I still can’t get over what WWE did to him in that Brock Lesnar match in Saudi Arabia, because Ricochet vs. Lesnar should have been on the level of Daniel Bryan or AJ Styles vs. Lesnar.

As for Kota Ibushi, he’s the dream signing of all dream signings for AEW, if you really examine the big picture. Kenny Omega and Ibushi told one of the best stories in recent pro wrestling history with the Golden Lovers, and Ibushi, you could make the argument, is the best male wrestler in the world in terms of pure talent.

Keep this between you and me, but I think Chris Jericho only shouted out Don Callis because he’s a Winnipeg guy.
