WWE Rumors: Shane McMahon is a ‘very big fan’ of Shayna Baszler
According to the latest WWE Rumors, Shayna Baszler has at least one friend in a high place.
Although Becky Lynch pushed for it, Shayna Baszler did not win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36. The Queen of Spades may be headed for another title feud, because she had a very brief match with current Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. Better yet, Baszler has been confronting Asuka in high-profile moments, and Asuka could win that title back at SummerSlam.
Baszler can become a big part of Raw for the remainder of 2020, and fans are especially intrigued to see her make more appearances on Raw Underground. She appeared on Shane McMahon’s new venture this past Monday night, and that should just be the beginning.
According to Tom Colohue on Sportskeeda’s Dropkick DiSKussions with Korey Gunz, via Sportskeeda.com’s Lennard Surrao, Shane is a “very big fan” of the former two-time NXT Women’s Champion.
Per Colohue, Shane O’Mac “saw a chance to use her” in Raw Underground.
Shayna Baszler is a perfect fit for Shane McMahon’s Raw Underground
Hopefully, it’s true that Shane is high on Baszler, and hopefully that’s a sign that there will be more opportunities for the Queen of Spades in this environment. Not only is she a former MMA fighter, but her character fits WWE’s new underground fighting club quite well.
If Raw Underground were to have stakes in the near future, which is probably necessary, then Baszler could even be a champion in Raw Underground. She could be one of the centerpiece stars of Shane’s fight club, along with Arturo Ruas, the Hurt Business, and some of the other individuals we’ve seen spotlighted on the show.
Baszler could still win the Raw Women’s Title in the next several months, too, as polarized as fans are on her future in WWE. Some fans feel Baszler needs to win a world title, while other fans don’t understand why the rest of us are so enamored with the Queen of Spades.

Shane McMahon seems to have some interesting ideas right now and a good pulse on what’s working, so the fact that he’s a fan of Baszler’s work is highly encouraging. We’ll see what the future holds for a woman who was once one of NXT’s best performers.
