Alexa Bliss interferes to cost Nikki Cross

Nikki Cross won a No. 1 Contender’s match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship to earn a third title shot against Bayley at WWE Clash of Champions 2020. She’s already lost to Bayley twice, with the most recent loss leading to her shoving Alexa Bliss afterwards. And then Bliss was attacked by the Fiend.

Bliss hasn’t been the same since that attack. She’s started wearing braids, and she even hit Sister Abigail on Cross during the No. 1 Contender’s match before disappearing.

All signs point to Bliss working with Bray Wyatt and joining the Firefly Funhouse at a later date. And there is a chance Cross ends up being convinced to join her, which would lead to an even more interesting storyline for both women.

But even if Cross doesn’t join up with Bliss and Wyatt, Bliss should interfere in the Clash of Champions match between Cross and Bayley. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley is the feud people want to see for the SmackDown Women’s Title, and it seems like everything is built to that. WWE could pull a swerve and have Bayley lose the title so that Cross vs. Bliss will be the SmackDown Women’s Title feud with Sasha vs. Bayley happening at WrestleMania 37 for the Raw Women’s Title after a Sasha Royal Rumble win.

I don’t see all that happening, though. What I do see is a memorable interference from Bliss in the title match, a brief feud between Cross and Bliss, and an eventual heel partnership.
