Mock 2020 WWE Draft Night One

Round One: SmackDown picks SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley, Raw picks Universal Champion Roman Reigns, SmackDown picks Randy Orton, Raw picks Sasha Banks, Raw picks AJ Styles, NXT picks Kevin Owens

Round One Thoughts: Bayley’s consistency as champion makes her a valid number one pick, and it wouldn’t be any surprise to see Universal Champion Roman Reigns going equally soon for the opposing brand. These choices also separate Banks from Bayley, and Kevin Owens is a huge acquisition from NXT’s first draft selection.

Round Two: SmackDown picks Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, Raw picks Naomi, SmackDown picks Dominik Mysterio, Raw picks NXT’s Johnny Gargano, Raw picks The Hurt Business

Round Two Thoughts: SmackDown snags a set of tag team champions in The Street Profits, and look forward to the move made by Raw on Night Two, leading to each brand’s tag team champions renaming their titles to keep the names coherent without disrupting lineage. Raw makes the first selection from NXT with Johnny Gargano, and scores four huge names by taking The Hurt Business and keeps the United States Championship in the process.

Round Three: SmackDown picks Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross, Raw picks Heavy Machinery, SmackDown picks Rey Mysterio, Raw picks WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, Raw picks King Corbin, NXT picks Mickie James

Round Three Thoughts: Money in the Bank contract holder Otis ends up on Raw here, and brings tag team partner Tucker along with him. Raw also picks up two important names for the women’s division while securing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, while NXT’s second pick adds veteran Mickie James to their already promising women’s division.

Round Four: SmackDown picks Aleister Black, Raw picks NXT’s Candice LeRae, SmackDown picks The Riott Squad, Raw picks Murphy, Raw picks Mandy Rose

Round Four Thoughts: Another NXT selection is made by Raw as they take Candice LeRae, while SmackDown scores two important women’s division additions with The Riott Squad. Finally, Raw rounds things out with solid picks of Murphy and Mandy Rose.

Night One Supplemental: SmackDown picks Lana, SmackDown picks Natalya, Raw picks Drew Gulak, Raw picks Titus O’Neil

Night One Supplemental Thoughts: A few last-minute supplemental grabs from those remaining in the Night One Draft Pool helps SmackDown round out their women’s division and Raw pick a few good undercard names.
