WWE: Guess who is singing his own theme song again?
Keith Lee has what it takes to become a WWE Champion on Monday Night Raw before the next draft, and he’s about to get something back that he lost.
Because of an issue with royalty fees for using CFO$ themes, Keith Lee lost his iconic “Bask in his Glory” theme from NXT upon being called up to WWE Raw.
His theme was changed to some generic rock music that sounds akin to Brock Lesnar’s theme, which was very off-putting for fans who missed him rapping his own theme.
The great news is that Lee is about to get a new theme. PWInsider.com reports that Keith Lee was in New York City to record a new theme song.
So Lee isn’t getting his old theme back, but he is getting to sing a new theme song for his character on Monday nights. And it’ll surely be a theme that suits him a lot more than this current generic theme, which hasn’t grown on anyone in the last couple of weeks.
Keith Lee can be a main-event wrestler in WWE for years to come
There are absolutely far more important things to Lee than his theme song. He beat Randy Orton clean at Payback but lost to Braun Strowman on the episode of Raw after the draft.
However, he could get a great rivalry out of this loss, eventually going over the Monster Among Men in the end. It’s definitely a development to watch closely.
As is the development of Lee providing vocals – signing, rapping, both – to a new theme song. A great theme can put a wrestler over the top, especially a babyface with world championship potential like Lee.
The Limitless One has the potential to be a main-event wrestler for years to come in WWE, as we saw last year around Survivor Series. He definitely did not look out of place in the ring with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
