Lana shocked the entire Raw roster when she won a triple threat match to earn the final spot on the Raw team at WWE Survivor Series 2020.

Since being dumped by Bobby Lashley and then most recently Natalya, Lana has had a troublesome year, to say the least. To add even more injury to insults, Nia Jax has been putting Lana through the announce table each week.. for over two months. Before even learning her spot on the Raw side of WWE Survivor Series 2020, Nia Jax has been using Lana to send her own message of dominance. It would seem that Nia has forgotten: Lana is the best, Lana’s number one.

While many have wondered if Lana’s treatment lately is a punishment for her husband, the former Rusev, debuting in AEW as Miro. However, there could be a much more positive side to things. This could all be a way for Lana to be pushed as a babyface.

This would be for the first time since being with Rusev. With Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke being injured and replaced on the Survivor Series team, there is obviously a reason for Lana to have got and to keep her spot.

Could it be for a major push for Lana moving forward? Lana has continued to be “tested” by her Survivor Series opponents. Although, the abuse that Lana has taken by Nia Jax could be toughening her up in the task ahead. What is that task ahead? Her becoming the sole survivor for the Raw team. On a team consisting of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler who don’t even want her on the team, Lana is going to be the one possibly save the team.

If you think that Nia Jax putting Lana through a table is going to be limited to Raw, I believe you’ll be mistaken. I would expect Jax to try and “eliminate” Lana herself by putting her through the announce table at some point during the match. Perhaps Nia is eliminated from the match early and takes her rage out on her favorite target. Then the WWE could capitalize on one of their favorite stories, the forgotten, never eliminated, final threat in the path to victory.

Whether it’s in a win or loss, being the last member of the Raw team would be a huge step for Lana going forward.

Proving herself by standing alone for Raw and winning the match or even standing a chance against a stacked SmackDown team would be an organic way of turning Lana into a fan favorite. The crowd will cheer Lana on to prove herself against all the odds stacked against her. As the old motto goes, anything can happen in WWE. Lana being the sole-survivor sounds like the least likely outcome. Which is exactly why it might just happen.
