WWE TLC 2020: Early full match card predictions including Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tables Match: Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Asuka & Lana
You can’t tell me they’re going to have Lana go through tables at ringside for over two months in the build to WWE TLC and the culmination isn’t going to be a Tables Match. I refuse to accept that possibility.
While the tag team between Lana and Asuka is relatively new, this feels like a powerful moment where Asuka is helping Lana build some much-needed confidence and embrace her skills. After everything she’s had to go through, we need to see Lana finally get her comeuppance, and the best way to do that is to put Nia Jax through a table and claim the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Prediction: Asuka & Lana are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions
WWE Championship TLC Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. AJ Styles
After AJ Styles powered his way through the competition, albeit with some help at a few of those points, he’s now earned the right to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WWE TLC. Of course, the true x-factor here is The Miz, who holds the Money in the Bank Contract, especially now that this is a TLC Match.
It could significantly change things depending on whether The Miz decides he wants to cash in his contract either during or after the match, or decides to help AJ Styles win to better his chances of success in a future cash-in. However, despite all that will be against him, I expect Drew McIntyre to overcome the odds, likely with Sheamus helping neutralize some of those additional factors, and emerge with the WWE Championship.
Prediction: Drew McIntyre is still the WWE Champion
Universal Championship TLC Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
In what will surely be the night’s main event, we’ve got Roman Reigns defending the Universal Champion against Kevin Owens. Interestingly enough, we’ve seen these two square off on this kind of stage before. However, quite a few years have passed since then, and we’re not looking at two very different competitors.
Roman Reigns is nothing like the man he was all those years ago, and Kevin Owens has been through quite a bit in that time and is still fighting to be a different person despite his aggressive instincts. Despite the seemingly sudden actions of Roman Reigns by attacking Jey Uso this week, we’ll probably still see Uso at his side, and he may end up helping him secure victory in this match.
Regardless of how the final moments go down, this is going to be a must-see match. Owens and Reigns are top-notch competitors who are operating at their best right now, and they’ve got a chance to create an unforgettable main event at WWE TLC, even if Roman Reigns is still going to simply show up and win.
Prediction: Roman Reigns is still the Universal Champion
