Jimmy Uso

The final option I have in mind as a possibility is perhaps the least likely, but, well, this is a list of “possible opponents” for Roman Reigns, so I might as well give you every legitimate challenger I can conceivably think of.

Jimmy Uso may not be ready in time for WWE Royal Rumble 2021, so that’s one important aspect of this “What If?”

I could see Jimmy making his return and telling Roman something like, “Hey, if Jey can get two shots at that title, why can’t I?”

It’s essentially an issue of fairness. It makes sense for Jimmy to see that his brother got some chances and for him to want the same. Plus, Jimmy and Roman may have some unfinished business of their own after Hell in a Cell.

Of course, it’s only a matter of time before Jimmy joins his brother Jey and falls in line. To be honest, I don’t think there will be a match, since Jey, if it hasn’t happened already, will have a conversation with Jimmy about ‘falling in line’ as the Bloodline and pursuing their own run at the gold to boost the family’s status.

But maybe on the road to getting there, we see Jimmy getting a chance to go toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match that serves to put over Jimmy just as strongly as Roman’s matches with Jey put the latter over as a huge breakout star.
