Charlotte Flair is the right addition to the women’s title match
By Amit Shukla
Charlotte Flair leveraged her star power to get involved in the Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash. While this didn’t go well with Adam Pearce, we know that The Queen of the WWE is now a part of a championship match at the show that takes place next week Sunday. The former Raw Women’s Champion got suspended and fined a considerable amount before being reinstated a week later. This move is exactly what it seems, Flair throwing her weight around to get a shot at the WWE title, even if it takes the focus off of Rhea Ripley and Asuka.
Ripley has just started her championship run and is facing down a dangerous threat in Asuka, looking to get her title back. While some may be frustrated with the addition of Flair, it is a move that will help build this into a better contest.
If Asuka was the only performer in the match, this match wouldn’t have the same hype behind it without Flair being in it. Asuka has the skills, but Charlotte can help elevate Rhea Ripley to superstardom in wrestling. Charlotte won the NXT Women’s Championship from The Nightmare at WrestleMania 36, and this time around, it may be payback time.
Charlotte and Rhea can take this fight through to SummerSlam, and Asuka can work in some other role in the time being. It would also save The Empress of Tomorrow from taking a pin, and in turn help, two superstars showcase their in-ring skills to perfection. If Charlotte and Rhea decide to go at each other with full force, the match will become exceptional, and the fans will be intrigued to watch them fight at the show.
We know that they have all that it takes to make a match worth every second, and with the opportunity presented by a triple-threat feud, one can expect everything in the fight. Charlotte has been a part of some path-breaking matches and has put forth stellar performances, and this one will be no different. We can expect the start of a fight that will continue until SummerSlam hits our TV screens.
