A&E’s Biography: WWE Legends series debuted on Apr. 18 and has been well-received. While there have been criticisms of certain editing decisions (like what was included or not included), the series has done a good job in accomplishing the goals of a documentary.

Thus far, there have been episodes on Steve Austin, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, and Booker T, with the forthcoming Shawn Michaels episode. The remaining episodes will focus on Ultimate Warrior, Mick Foley, and Bret Hart.

Here are five WWE wrestlers who should have their own Biography episode in the future.

Initially, I was going to select wrestlers whose stories aren’t as well known and/or haven’t been the subject of any WWE documentary production, such as 24 and Day Of.

I was going to include names like Naomi, Sonya Deville, and Bobby Lashley.

However, after reviewing the list of wrestlers chosen for the eight-episode series, I came to two understandings.

First, this is a series aimed at those who may have heard about these wrestlers, maybe even watched them, but don’t really know about who the person is behind the wrestler. Basically, it’s not aimed at you and me.

Second, for both A&E and WWE officials, the best way to maximize viewership potential is to highlight those with name value. As interesting as some may find Cesaro, for example, he probably doesn’t have the cache that would garner the necessary engagement from non-wrestling and casual fans.

With those understandings, I decided to choose not only wrestlers with name value, but those who also have compelling stories. Again, these stories are probably well-known to you and me, those who go out of their way to visit sites like DailyDDT.com to keep up with wrestling news, analysis, and opinion.

With that preamble aside, let’s move to the first name on the list, a person who might be available sooner rather later.
