AEW Dynamite is back on in its normal day and time slot this week.  You can catch it on TNT on Wednesday at 8 pm/7 pm CST.

This week’s card is loaded with exciting matches, three of which include current AEW Champions.  And the fourth is a long-awaited grudge match that is months in the making.

On top of the announced matches for the card, we can also expect some storylines that either started or were ramped up last week to continue to move forward this week.

Darby Allin will undoubtedly accept the challenge laid down by Ethan Page last week, giving us AEW’s first-ever coffin match.

Proud and Powerful and Konnan will most definitely have some words, if not some fists for Tully Blanchard and FTR.

What is going to happen with Team Tazz?  Can they rein in Brian Cage or is the faction about to find themselves without the biggest cog in their machine?

And then there is the surprise that Andrade El Idolo and Vickie Guerrero have been teasing for a couple of weeks now.  I think we can rest assured that they will announce a brand new member of AEW and it will happen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

What should we expect from the four announced matches on the card for AEW Dynamite this Wednesday?

Young Bucks vs Penta El Zero Miedo & Eddie Kingston

The AEW Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks will take on Penta and Eddie Kingston in a match where if Kingston and Penta are victorious, they will earn a future shot at the AEW Tag Team Titles.

The Young Bucks have really found themselves as performers in the past few months.  And while many internet trolls have hated on the Bucks for years, there is actually a good reason to now.

And that is a testament to how darn good the Young Bucks are as the self-centered, materialistic heels they are currently playing to perfection.

It seems that almost every Dynamite closes with some combination of the Elite standing over a beatdown babyface and smirking as the show closes.  But my gut tells me that this changes this week.

It has been too long since the Bucks have had a dose of reality handed to them and this seems like a good spot for it to happen.

In Penta and Eddie Kingston you have two of the more popular performers in AEW.  Kingston is as good on the microphone as Penta is in the ring.  So having them pull off the upset over the Bucks here will lead to a longer program between the four stars.  And that seems like the right call.  Winners: Penta El Zero Miedo & Eddie Kingston

MIro vs Brian Pillman, Jr. for the TNT Championship Title

This match is going to be won by Miro.

Much like Kenny Omega versus Jungle Boy last week, the purpose of this match is to put young, up-and-coming talent in a big spot to test his ability to work with one of the best and gauge crowd reaction to said talent.

So while no one believes that Pillman, Jr. is walking out of Daily’s Place the new TNT Champion, this is still a really big spot for him.

Pillman, Jr. has been in some big spots on Dynamite before, but those were all in tag team matches with his partner, Griff Garrison.  This will be the first chance Pillman, Jr. has had to show what he can do in a marquee singles matchup.

Pillman, Jr. has the strength, agility, and pedigree to step up to the challenge before him and give Miro all that the defending TNT Champion can handle.  But in the end, Miro will submit Pillman, Jr with his patented Game Over.  Winner: Miro

Britt Baker & Rebel vs Nyla Rose & Vickie Guerrero

So let me start this off by saying there is no part of me that believes that Vickie Guerrero is competing in this match in any way, shape, or form.

I believe this is the part of the program where we find out the big surprise that Vickie and Andrade El Idolo have been talking about for the past couple of weeks.

And my guess is that the surprise is there is about to be a brand new member of the AEW women’s division introduced.  And this new member will take the place of Vickie Guerrero in this match.

The question is, who might this mystery participant be?

Due to her past affiliation with Andrade El Idolo, most people assume that it is going to be Thea Trinidad (formerly known as Zelina Vega), that shows up on AEW this week.

And that may be, but that seems too easy.  I am going to go with the new AEW signee being none other than Tessa Blanchard.

Blanchard will step in for Vickie Guerrero and score the pinfall over Rebel, while a dismayed Britt Baker looks on.  Winners: Nyla Rose & Tessa Blanchard

Sammy Guevara vs MJF

In what should be the main event of Dynamite on Wednesday, Sammy Guevara, at long last will get his hands on MJF.

This grudge match has been months in the making.  And while Chris Jericho is still the leader of the Inner Circle, AEW continues its masterful job of building stars by pushing the youngest member of the Inner Circle into the spotlight against quite possibly the most hated heel in the promotion.

If there is a wrestler in AEW that his paid his dues and is in line for a push because of it, it is Sammy.

He was the Inner Circle’s whipping boy for many months during the pandemic.  Taking pinfall after pinfall to save the reputation of the other members of the faction.

Guevara finally got his comeuppance at Double or Nothing.  Sammy was responsible for keeping the Inner Circle together by pinning Shawn Spears.  And it seemed to be some sort of poetic justice as Guevara closed the pay-per-view with his brothers in the middle of the ring as the Inner Circle and the crowd rocked out to Fozzy’s Judas.

But will Sammy be able to continue the momentum that he has recently garnered against a man that has already found ways to defeat Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho?

Sadly, the answer is no.  While Sammy is a star in the making and he seems to be one of those rare talents that works better as a face than a heel, MJF needs to win this match more than Sammy does.

The Pinnacle is coming off of a loss at the second Stadium Stampede match to the Inner Circle.  And just a couple of weeks ago, Jake Hager scored a submission win over Wardlow in an MMA rules-style cage fight.  So unless the goal is to have the Pinnacle collapse then they need a signature win to slow the momentum of the Inner Circle.

Next. Is AEW testing the idea of a Britt Baker face turn?. dark

So, it appears that Sammy will be pushed back down into a role he has become all too familiar with in his time with AEW.  MJF will use every dirty trick in the book and pick up the victory over the “Spanish God”.  Winner: MJF
