While she’s almost a superhero, Nikki A.S.H. IS the current WWE Raw Women’s Champion. If you’ve been following Nikki’s career in WWE up to this point, the sudden push may seem as though it came from out of nowhere like an RKO from Randy Orton.

To tell you the truth, it did. A few months ago, Nikki wasn’t getting much TV time on WWE programming. Even as fans wanted to see her on television, she was yet another name left out when the cameras rolled each week.

As Nikki Cross, she was a major part of the women’s tag-team division alongside Alexa Bliss. The duo… err Bliss Cross Applesauce won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on two occasions during that time and whether they were wrestling that night or hosting A Moment of Bliss, the stable was almost always featured on every episode of Raw/and or Smackdown television.

Alas, with almost all walks of life, things change.

Nikki went from being on top of the women’s tag team division with Bliss to being an afterthought in a storyline involving the latter, Bray Wyatt, & Braun Strowman. As of July 2021, it’s safe to say that things are looking a lot brighter for A.S.H.

She’s currently in her first reign as the WWE Raw Women’sChampion and is scheduled to defend her title against Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam this year. Before anyone thinking SummerSlam will be the end of Nikki’s reign, there are several things to take into account first.

Her career in WWE has had its fair share of ups and downs thus far.

From her time in NXT with Sanity to breaking out on her own as an uncanny, unstable mad-woman to forming an unlikely alliance with Alexa Bliss to her current Nikki A.S.H persona, her WWE career has been unpredictable; a roller coaster of highs and lows, if you will.

Sometimes it’s easy to predict what will happen in the world of pro wrestling, but Nikki’s history in WWE is proof that this is certainly NOT always the case.
