Cody Rhodes answered questions from the wrestling media today heading into AEW Homecoming. Cody made it immediately clear that he would not be taking questions from the media about the current rumors out there in the wrestling world.

Of course, it has been hotly speculated that CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are linked with moves to the Jacksonville-based company, with the idea they will appear in September during AEW’s run in Chicago.

AEW Executive, Cody Rhodes, warned the media that they would be ‘wasting their time’ if they were to ask about the CM Punk and Daniel Bryan news. Later in the call, Cody did indicate that AEW was still keen on bringing in more talent, and was quoted saying that “the more the merrier” in regards to bringing in talent.

Cody also confirmed some great news for UK fans, that AEW is still very much excited about coming over to the UK. Plans are currently not in place, but as soon as the Covid situation eases up, they will be looking to add it into the schedule.

Cody Rhodes clearly indicated he wasn’t willing to discuss the rumors surrounding CM Punk and Daniel Bryan joining AEW. Of course, as any promotion would, Cody wants to keep tight-lipped to keep the returns a genuine surprise, if they are to happen.

Rightly so, why would Cody want to give such mammoth news away on a Media Call? We can’t wait to see what happens in AEW over the coming weeks, and where the world of pro-wrestling will be in a month’s time.

The professional wrestling world has been on fire with news surrounding CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. Darby Allin and MJF both dropped hints to Punk in last week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, and multiple news outlets ran stories about their potential signing. Plus, Adam Page is no longer slated to be Kenny Omega’s opponent at AEW All Out. When coupling that with the news of AEW Rampage occurring at the United Center, signs point to a big moment in AEW coming. Cody staying mum about the developments should be expected, but doesn’t stop this from being one of the more exciting times in wrestling.
