WWE Wrestling Rumor Roundup: Becky Lynch and Beck Lynch returns
By Amit Shukla
WWE continues to bring the fans back to action and entertainment with its returns and legends fighting for a current title at the next pay-per-view, SummerSlam. Fans wanted Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley, but Vince McMahon has other plans, and he may have made the right call.
WWE Summerslam is in jeopardy with new coronavirus cases on the rise. Las Vegas has a mask mandate, and public gatherings have limited capacity guidelines. WWE doesn’t want to return to the Performance Center or cancel their tours, but nothing is certain. With this uncertainty, let’s look at the uncertain rumors that did the rounds this week in the wrestling domain.
The reason behind Brock Lesnar’s absence at SummerSlam explained
The Biggest Box Office attraction is not in the WWE for over a year and a half, and if inputs from Dave Meltzer and reported by NoDQ hold substance, he may be out for a long time. Brock Lesnar knows his worth, and he wouldn’t want to sign a deal that pays less and asks for more dates.
The time between 2022 and 2024 is crucial for the company, and Lesnar doesn’t want to jump the bandwagon to sign a less lucrative deal. It looks like Vince’s catchphrase, ‘It’s all about the money,’ has a face.
The Man may switch brands to be with her Man
Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch teased her return at WrestleMania and Money In The Bank but didn’t show up on television. . WWE wants to make it grandeur, but if rumors hold value, she may switch brands and join her real-life husband on SmackDown.
It isn’t the best decision as she last made her presence on Raw, but if she wants to elevate the SmackDown women’s division and become the talk of the town when Survivor Series comes around, then it is a good choice. Her ‘The Man’ character gained prominence when she attacked Raw Women’s locker room, only to be busted by Nia Jax and work on auto mode.
The Viper may be coiled to attack soon
Randy Orton’s sudden absence from the WWE Raw locker room has the wrestling experts and fans puzzled. Matt Riddle is on an upward trajectory, but with Orton’s unavailability, the impact is half, and the reward is even smaller.
The rumor mill suggested his return, but he is still not on TV, and there is no news if he will return for a Raw Tag Team Title feud at SummerSlam. While the fans have made fun of Randy Orton’s recent nemesis’ getting released, we know that his return will serve the ratings and the former US Champion who plans to place his stake in the tag team division.
