WWE Raw predictions: Brock Lesnar will replace Goldberg

WWE Raw is heading into WWE SummerSlam 2021. On this week’s go-home episode, there are two scheduled matches: Drew McIntyre vs. Veer & Shanky in a Handicap Match and Randy Orton vs. Omos in a Grudge Match. Also, Goldberg is scheduled to have a final face-off with Bobby Lashley. Will Brock Lesnar replace Goldberg in pursuit of Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship for a dream match at WWE SummerSlam 2021?

Speaking of which, WWE is still six days away from WWE SummerSlam 2021. There are four Raw-affiliated matches scheduled for this PPV event: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Goldberg for the WWE Title, Nikki ASH (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte for the Raw Women’s Title, Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal, and Sheamus (c) vs. Damian Priest for the U.S. Title. AJ Styles & Omos (c) vs. RKBro for the Raw Tag Titles could also be added to the card.

With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict what will actually occur on this week’s go-home episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on August 16, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on the USA Network. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

Drew McIntyre vs. Veer & Shanky [Handicap Match]

On this week’s WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre is scheduled to battle Veer and Shanky in a handicap match six days before he battles Jinder Mahal at WWE SummerSlam 2021. It would be mediocre booking if McIntyre actually lost to Mahal’s sidekicks before his big match at the biggest event of the summer. There was a non-finish in this match two weeks ago, so a clean finish is expected here, with McIntyre coming out the victor and getting the momentum he needs for Saturday. It is also expected that Mahal will execute a post-match attack and add a stipulation to their match.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre

Randy Orton vs. Omos [Grudge Match]

On this week’s WWE Raw, Randy Orton is scheduled to battle Omos in a grudge match after defeating AJ Styles in the main event of Raw with a beautifully executed mid-air RKO. Although booking singles matches in every combination possible is WWE’s unsophisticated way of building up a tag team title match, it makes sense for Orton to battle Omos this week after calling him a big jack…..of all trades last week. This match has non-finish written all over it because Omos will be protected in defeat due to his size and it’s too early for him to defeat Orton in singles action.

Prediction: Randy Orton (DQ)

Bobby Lashley vs. Goldberg [Final Face Off]

On this week’s WWE Raw, Bobby Lashley and Goldberg are scheduled for a face-off. However, this is not the SummerSlam match the majority of WWE fans wanted to see. They wanted to see Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. Goldberg is just a red herring. Brock Lesnar will return to this episode of WWE Raw. He will send Bobby Lashley and Goldberg to Suplex City and get his rematch for the WWE Championship that he lost at WrestleMania 36 to Drew McIntyre. Eat. Sleep. Brock Party. Repeat.
