AEW must add Kiera Hogan to the women’s division
All Elite Wrestling continues to build a very solid roster, mixing well-known veterans with younger talent along the way. The women’s division is growing as well. As rumors swirl about the potential signing of Ruby Soho, there’s another free agent competitor that should be added to the AEW roster sooner, rather than later. That person is Kiera Hogan.
Hogan has put on three matches in AEW and is winless but that doesn’t mean she’s not someone that the company should sign. Yes, she’s been defeated by Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, and Jade Cargill on the latest edition of AEW Rampage, but Hogan’s track record makes her a perfect fit for this division. Fans might roll their eyes at the idea of Hogan being a must sign for the promotion but look at her run outside the company to see that she’s a young prospect that must be secured.
At twenty-six years of age, Hogan already boasts six years of experience in the ring. She’s best known for her time in Impact Wrestling where she’s a two-time tag team champion with Tasha Steelz. That team recently fell apart and Hogan was sent on her way when her tenure with Impact was over. AEW immediately brought her in for a series of matches against some of the top names in their women’s division. Yes, she was used as enhancement talent, which is understood as she’s not signed with the promotion, but she presented very well in those opportunities.
AEW has shown that they believe in building up youth across the roster. They have several names that are under thirty years old but can be leveraged as the pillars of the promotion for the next decade, if not longer. Hogan could be one of those names for the still-developing women’s division and AEW should lock her into a contract right this moment.
