Jonathan Gresham is recognized as one of the best professional wrestlers in the industry. He took to Twitter early Monday morning to announce a new event titled Terminus: Modern Age Grappling.

Gresham’s post included a hype video and the date of the first event on Sunday, January 16, 2022. The event will go down in Atlanta, Georgia.

The moment wasn’t met without response as well. Multiple-time WWE Champion, Seth Rollins, quote tweeted the post, offering his praise for Gresham.

“One time a young JG paid my booking fee-when the promoter couldn’t come up with the cash-so I would stay and work,” Rollins posted. “We ended up tearing it up in front of about six people and had a couple more bangers months later. He never looked back. Invest in yourself friends.”

This comes on the heels of news that Ring of Honor is closing its doors for an extended period as speculation grows that the promotion’s time has ended. Another prominent name for the group, Jay Lethal, debuted AEW Full Gear; a moment that was met with controversy due to multiple allegations against him.

Gresham’s run in Ring of Honor saw him capture multiple titles for extended tenures. He held the ROH Pure Championship for 317 days, while holding the tag team titles with Lethal for 417 days. He’s set to take on Bandido for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle on Saturday, December 11. This will be the last event for ROH before the company’s hiatus.
