All Elite Wrestling continues to find ways to push the younger talent on the roster. That continues the next edition of AEW Dynamite when CM Punk takes on one of the best new talents in AEW, Lee Moriarty.

AEW tweeted an image announcing the match early Tuesday morning.

“Last week, after CM Punk’s war of words with MJF, Punk beat QT Marshall in the ring, taking his record to 7-0,” the Tweet read. “He aims to test himself against the best young wrestlers in AEW: Tomorrow it’s CM Punk versus Lee Moriarty live on AEW Dynamite.”

Since his return to professional wrestling after seven years away, CM Punk remains one of the biggest stories in the industry. He’s put together an undefeated run to date in AEW, pushing his record to 7-0. That includes wins over Eddie Kingston, Darby Allin, Powerhouse Hobbs, Daniel Garcia, and others.

Fans pushed for AEW to sign Moriarty for months and that finally came to fruition back in September. Moriarty’s independent run through promotions like Ring of Honor, MLW, Warrior Wrestling, and Beyond led him to become a highly touted prospect in the industry. He’s a multiple-time champion during that run, including holding a variety of titles for PWX.

Moriarty has had eight matches in AEW, putting together a 2-6 record, with one win coming in a singles match against Nick Comoroto, and the other being a tag match with Matt Sydal against 2point0.
