Kairi Sane is back in Stardom.

Stardom was running an angle around the appearance of a “mystery woman” who turned out to be the returning Sane. Early Friday norming her return was confirmed as she was announced for the Stardom World Climax Shows on March 26 and March 27.

Sane was originally known as Kairi Hojo during her first run in Stardom but is now going by the name KAIRI.

During her first run with Stardom, KAIRI was a multiple-time champion, picking up singles and team titles along the way. She held the Wonder of Stardom Championship for 364 days and was tag team champions with many other prominent names in wrestling including Io Shirai, Mayu Iwatani, and others. She last appeared for the company in 2017, before heading over to the United States to join WWE.

As a part of the WWE roster, she held the NXT Women’s Championship and was WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions with Asuka. She was also the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017.

KAIRI has a lot left to offer professional wrestling

Rightfully so, many fans are excited to see KAIRI back in action. Even before he run with the WWE, she was well-respected as one of the best performers in the industry. Her previous time in Stardom points to her abilities as a complete professional wrestler. She showed flashes of that in the WWE, especially during her back-and-forth battles with Shayna Baszler, but was never fully utilized by that company once she hit the main roster. Although, she and Asuka had some exceptional matches together such as the TLC match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in 2019.

She returned to Japan in July of 2021 and worked for WWE until her contract expired.
