Fightful is reporting that the Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathon Gresham is slated to be backstage during tonight’s AEW Dynamite

As the summer gets closer, wrestling gets more exciting. AEW has begun turning up the heat a little earlier than most, bringing in huge debuts like Keith Lee, Danhausen, and Jay White over the last few weeks. It also appears that AEW may even have big plans to keep that momentum going during this week’s Dynamite as well.

First reported by Fightful, Ring of Honor world champion Jonathan Gresham is slated to be backstage during this week’s episode of Dynamite. Fightful could not confirm whether or not there are plans to feature Gresham on television, but his presence alone is a big deal.

Jonathan Gresham is one of the fastest rising stars in wrestling, despite not appearing on either WWE or AEW programming

When Ring of Honor announced its intention to restructure, Gresham was the name that many were excited to track. When Gresham left Final Battle, Ring of Honor’s last pay-per-view before they started their current hiatus, He was crowned ROH World Champion after beating Jay Lethal in a brilliant match. Since then, he has wrestled around the world, making appearances in several indie promotions as well as defending his title at an Impact Wrestling show.

During the Ring of Honor hiatus, Gresham even took time to help build and promote his own wrestling promotion, TERMINUS. Working closely with co-founder Baron Black, Gresham has made TERMINUS a must-see promotion, putting together a fantastic debut card in January and building a card that is just as exciting for February 24th. It is worth noting that his opponent for that card, Santana, is a contracted AEW wrestler and is scheduled to appear on tonight’s show.
