When someone comes into a city and looks to take it over, it often brings the town together to fight back. Honor No More has come into Impact Wrestling with plans that have set off a few TNA originals.

Ever since the former Ring of Honor talent arrived in Impact Wrestling, they have created chaos for members of the company. They have named themselves Honor No More and they have quickly grown into a serious threat in Impact Wrestling. Honor No More made their debut at Hard To Kill in January. The group originally consisted of Michael Bennett, his wife Maria, Vincent, and two former ROH World Champions in Matt Taven and PCO. Since then, the group has grown to include Kenny King and the surprising leader, former ROH, and Impact World Champion, Eddie Edwards.

The betrayal of Eddie Edwards was almost heartbreaking for the company. Eddie has become one of the most beloved parts of Impact Wrestling over the years. It was hard to see Edwards align himself with Honor No More and become their leader. However, Impact Wrestling has no plans to back down and allow Honor No More to take over the company.

Impact Wrestling will survive even if it takes TNA to be the one to save it. Frankie Kazarian and The Motor City Machine Guns have been with TNA Impact Wrestling since day one. However, two more TNA originals are set to join their side when Honor No More collides with the TNA Originals at Slammiversary. While there are so many great choices, here are “five” I believe would make the most sense.

5. Kurt Angle

I know what you are probably thinking. Isn’t this supposed to be a list of the top five most likely picks? Well, yes and no. Most likely choices but also choices that would make sense. While it’s a reach, this may not be as farfetched as it seems. Plus its Slammiverary in the 20th year of Impact Wrestling. You have to celebrate! Since his release from WWE in 2020, Kurt has confirmed that he has received offers from multiple companies including WWE, AEW, and Impact Wrestling among others. He turned down all of the rosters at the time quoting that the time wasn’t right to join a company. However, he left it open to negotiations and anything is possible.

While Kurt Angle may always be best known for his time with WWE, he spent just as much of his career in Impact Wrestling. Angle was one of the signings in the early days of TNA Wrestling that helped make the company a threat to WWE. Kurt did everything that there was to do in Impact Wrestling and pushed the company to new limits. He was honored for his time by being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013. If there was ever a TNA original that could save the company, a company that he helped build, it is Kurt Angle. While he is currently retired, this could be enough for Kurt to lace his boots once more.

4. Monty Brown

Alright, alright. I can see you raising your eyebrows at me. Number five was pretty farfetched. We thought that number four would make a little more sense and you hit us with The Alpha Male. Give me a second and hear me out. While I know it’s farfetched again, tell me that it wouldn’t make sense. When you are going into a match against Honor No More, you know that you are going to be facing off with some of the best wrestlers in the world and a legit monster in PCO. The TNA originals are going to have to find a monster of their own to go up against him. Why not a monster that also happened to be a monstrous linebacker in the NFL.

While I would love to have Abyss available to fight against PCO, he is a little preoccupied. However, “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown keeps up with the product and often retweets Impact Wrestling’s posts on Twitter. Monty Brown was one of the biggest draws in the early days of TNA and that pounce always left you holding your back like you had been hit. He was the right-hand man of Jeff Jarrett in the Planet Jarrett stable and later a worthy challenger for the NWA World Championship. He could have been a huge star in the company but unfortunately faded away after a run with the WWE. Although, there would still be a huge pop for those TNA fans when Monty Brown returned.

3. Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal

Okay, he’s just making up his own rules at this point, isn’t he? I know, I know. Although I have a pretty good point, I promise. Samoa Joe and Jay Lethal are both huge parts of the rise of TNA. Both were entertaining wrestlers that could go at it with the very best in the ring and on the microphone. During their time in the company, both men were multiple-time X-Divison Champions. Jay Lethal was loved by the crowd for his entertaining characters impersonating Randy Savage and Ric Flair respectively. On the other hand, Samoa Joe has always been a no non-sense fighter that is ready for a fight at any time.

While Samoa Joe reached the top of the mountain in TNA and Lethal didn’t, Jay Lethal has held the ROH World Championship twice. Now, all the years later their paths have crossed, and Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh have been making life a living hell for Samoa Joe. With this match coming up at Slammiverary, these two names would be great selections as TNA originals to come back and help save the day. However, the feud between the two could implode at Slammiversary and cause TNA a huge loss.

2. Christopher Daniels

Alright, this pick has to be agreeable by all parties, right? Christopher Daniels is one of the guys that first comes to mind when you think of who is responsible for TNA’s initial rise. Christopher Daniels wasn’t a rookie looking to make a name by the time TNA came around like many early names of TNA. He had already worked a short period with the WWF and WCW at the time. He has also been rumored to have been in store of a huge push and role in the WWF during the attitude era. Unfortunately, Daniels didn’t manage to get a long-term contract with either company. Then when The Jarrett’s created TNA in 2002, Christopher Daniels found a home and made it his own.

At the current time, unless things change drastically, Christopher Daniels may go down in Impact Wrestling as the most worthy person to win the world championship that never did. Daniels is the definition of a TNA original that stayed loyal to the company for nearly fourteen years of his career. He had classic matches like his triple threat matches against AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. He was a catalyst for the rise of the X-Division. TNA is truly in Christopher Daniels’s blood. With his former tag partner Kazarian already on the Slammiversary team, The Fallen Angel would fit right in.

1. America’s Most Wanted

I know I am bending the rules again with this pick. However, I don’t think there is a fan of TNA’s early days that would disagree with this pick. Before James Storm was drinking beer and winning titles with Robert Roode in Beer Money Inc, James Storm was drinking beer and winning titles with “Wildcat” Chris Harris in America’s Most Wanted. Before the TNA Tag Team Championships even existed, Storm and Harris won the NWA Tag Team Championships seven times. They fought the best teams TNA had to offer at the time including The Naturals, Team 3D, and L.A.X.

During their feud with L.A.X, tensions started up between the two and ends with James Storm smashing a beer bottle of Chris Harris’s skull. That was the end of one of TNA’s top tag teams and unlike most tag teams that break up, we never saw them team up again in the company. James Storm went on to team with Roode while Harris went off to attempt a run with the WWE. All these years later, Slammiversary has given a chance to reunite America’s Most Wanted for one last match in Impact Wrestling.

We saw a short reunion between the two backstage before James Storm’s 200th match in the company. While it was great to see the two together on screen in Impact, many fans started speculating and hoping that more would come from it and we would see the two team up once again. While that hasn’t happened yet, there are still many of us with our fingers crossed hoping that we see them together again. If you need two TNA originals to step up, “Wildcat” Chris Harris and “Cowboy” James Storm know a thing or two about kicking ass and tag team wrestling.
