WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 Predictions: Drew McIntyre Will Topple Roman Reigns

WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 is one month from now, and the WWE has already made one match official for this “premium live event”: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed World Championship in the main event. Since there were eight matches on this year’s SummerSlam, there will likely be seven more matches added to this PPV in the upcoming weeks. The following will provide some preliminary match card predictions for what should be an epic event outside the United States: WWE Clash at the Castle 2022.

Usos (c) vs. Street Profits vs. Viking Raiders vs. The New Day [Undisputed World Tag Team Championships]

The New Day will win the Undisputed World Tag Team Titles in a fatal four-way match against Usos, Street Profits, and Viking Raiders because Usos have no babyface challengers left as champions and their reign have run its course. Street Profits are on the verge of dissension, as it seeds are planted for Dawkins to turn heel on Ford so that they can both pursue their singles careers. Viking Raiders are a heel team, so they won’t dethrone the heel Usos, but their recent heinous attack on New Day will play a big part in Kingston & Woods overcoming the odds here.

Bianca Belair, Asuka, & Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley, Io Sky, & Dakota Kai [6-Women Tag Match]

Bayley, Io Sky, and Dakota Kai, also known as CONTROL, will defeat the team of Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss in a six-women tag match because they need to solidify their nascent heel faction with a PPV debut victory. It can be argued that Belair should not lose on PPV as champion but she can afford a loss here since her title is not on the line. Bayley, the captain of the group, especially needs this win more to solidify her spot as the number one contender and regain the title match she had against Belair before she got injured.

Edge, Beth Phoenix, & Rey Mysterio vs. Judgment Day [Faction War]

Judgment Day will defeat Edge, Beth Phoenix, and Rey Mysterio because Dominick Mysterio will turn heel to help Judgment Day win. Dominick got speared by Edge on Raw and will want his revenge. In the storyline, he has always been overshadowed by his father and has been continuously advised by everyone around him to spread his wings and pursue his singles career. Instead of putting an end to Judgment Day, Edge will put them over because Judgment Day desperately needs a win back from their losses to Mysterios and Dominick is the key to their victory.

Prediction: Judgment Day

AJ Styles & Logan Paul vs. The Miz & Ciampa [Tag Match]

AJ Styles and Logan Paul will defeat The Miz and Ciampa because AJ Styles’ feud with Miz and Ciampa is not over yet after losing to Ciampa in a United States Championship number one contender match due to Miz’s distraction on Raw last week. Although Logan Paul already defeated The Miz at SummerSlam, he may have to team with his ally, AJ Styles, to finally shut down this tandem once and for all. This should lead to Ciampa betraying The Miz and pursuing his own path as a singles star, as the WWE fans knew and loved from his time in NXT.

Seth Rollins vs. Riddle [No Holds Barred Match]

Seth Rollins will defeat Riddle because Seth Rollins needs payback for Riddle’s RKO from the top of the ladder at WWE MITB 2022 and needs to break his notorious PPV losing streak. It can be argued that Riddle needs the win more since Rollins rubbed salt in Riddle’s wounds after Riddle lost his tag partner, Orton, and lost to Roman Reigns in the Undisputed World Championship match. However, Rollins is a main event talent who should not lose to everyone on PPV. If he loses to everyone, the value of defeating an established star like him will inevitably diminish.

Liv Morgan (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey [SmackDown Women’s Championship]

Although Liv Morgan should retain the title so soon after winning it via her MITB cash-in on Ronda at WWE MITB 2022, Charlotte Flair will dethrone Liv Morgan because she needs to win once she returns and stat pad her title reigns. Both Charlotte and Rousey need a rematch here. Charlotte never got her rematch after losing the title to Rousey at Backlash, and Rousey needs her rematch after the controversial finish at SummerSlam. It would be a complete waste if Morgan loses just like Nikki ASH did last year, but all logic is defied when Charlotte Flair enters the equation.

Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre [Undisputed WWE Universal Title]

Drew McIntyre will dethrone Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion because he is 0-3 against Reigns on PPV and needs to win the world title in front of fans for the first time in his career, especially in the UK where he was born and raised. McIntyre never got that experience at WrestleMania 36 when he won in a silent arena. Now is his time end this already stale reigns of the Tribal Chief and kickstart a new era under the Triple H regime. At this moment in time, all the WWE fans can do is talk less and Claymore.
