It’s another week and a lot of professional wrestling to look forward to. This Labor Day weekend is going to be busy as WWE has two premium live events scheduled and AEW All Out is set for Sunday. That means that the importance of weekly television is ramped up to push viewership into these tentpole events. With that in mind, here are three important stories that wrestling fans should keep their eyes on in both AEW and WWE.

Who will face Jon Moxley at All Out?

No one expected what went down on AEW Dynamite this week. Moxley smashed his way through CM Punk to unify the AEW World Championship. According to Cagematch, Moxley needed only 3:10 to defeat Punk, leaving everyone in shock and opinions raging about how the match went down. Punk’s dejected look as he was helped up the ramp sets the stage for the massive heel turn everyone knew was coming, but when it comes is the question to ask.

But what about Moxley at All Out? There are reports that Punk versus Moxley is still penned in as the main event. This is coming as a video of Punk talking about an injury that was run on AEW Rampage. Are we looking at a situation where AEW runs back the immediate rematch? That wouldn’t make any sense for the promotion that has carefully crafted its title matches. What about MJF? There are rumblings of his surprise return to challenge for the title. Again, another rushed angle that doesn’t quite fit into the presentation AEW has put forth so far.

There’s a lot of excitement around the unknown and with the go-home show for All Out this week, eyeballs will be on Dynamite to see who steps up to face Moxley at the PPV.

What surprises will Triple H give WWE viewers this week?

Triple H’s first month in charge of talent relations and creative has been a success. Ratings and the overall reception for the show continue to climb, and the Hall of Famer finds ways to surprise fans. Last week, Johnny Gargano walked through the curtain and no one had any idea he was coming back, catching the wrestling world by surprise. If those big moments and returns continue, there’s no telling who could be coming back.

Many eyes are on Legado del Fantasma and where they will end up. After leaving WWE NXT with Santos Escobar, it’s clear that a main roster call-up is imminent. Where will they show up and what type of impact will they have? Those are two questions that are seemingly set to be answered very soon.

The Dexter Lumis story

It’s been a few weeks and Dexter Lumis continues to pop up on WWE television. At Monday Night Raw he used a diversion to kidnap The Miz and the very next night showed up on WWE NXT to see Indi Hartwell, only before being handcuffed by police. In a rare act of WWE showing consistency in storylines across shows, fans are wondering exactly what is going on with Lumis. Why did he kidnap The Miz? Does he have any other targets? Did Hartwell at least pay his bond? Expect some type of development on this angle between Monday and Tuesday.

Next. Bianca Belair's star power continues to grow. dark

Professional wrestling is on an upswing as enjoyable content is giving people a reason to slowly return to the product. Strong storylines are a hook for the industry and these are just three of the angles that fans are watching for heading into this week.
