The PWI 500 dropped on Wednesday with many names that fans will recognize and some that fans will not. Plus, there’s always the debate on who is missing in the coveted Top Ten. Roman Reigns once again sits atop the list that includes other performers from across the professional wrestling industry.

The top ten for the 2022 edition of the PWI 500 are as follows:

  1. Roman Reigns
  2. Kazuchika Okada
  3. CM Punk
  4. Hangman Page
  5. Bobby Lashley
  6. Cody Rhodes
  7. Bryan Danielson
  8. Vikingo
  9. Big E
  10. Jonathan Gresham

The evaluation period for the PWI 500 is from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022. Criteria for the list include win-loss record, technical ability, influence, success at the highest level, activity, and success against the highest level of diverse competition.

Reigns continues to embody a level of consistency on the PWI list as he has been in the top ten every year except 2020 when he missed most of the evaluation period as he stepped away from wrestling due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Many quickly noted names that are not included in the top ten. Jon Moxley is a name that stands out as he continues to put together an impressive performance as a leader within All Elite Wrestling. Will Ospreay is another individual that has continued to remain at the forefront of wrestling throughout the year but missed out on the top ten. Chris Jericho is another individual that could be included in this section of the list.
