Who will join forces with Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker?
With Ruby Soho’s turn at AEW Revolution, Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker need to add to their team.
The AEW Women’s division has been missing something lately. While Britt Baker (DMD) and AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter have continued to stand side-by-side, the current “us vs them” story is falling a little flat with the live crowd.
During the conclusion of the triple threat title match at AEW Revolution, we saw Ruby Soho, who had spent weeks straddling the fence, side with Toni Storm and Saraya as they would leave the “AEW homegrown” talent in the middle of the ring, spray paint dripping from their bodies.
The immediate question that came to mind is who will join Hayter and Baker to even the odds? The answer is simple: Thunder Rosa. It just makes too much sense.
Rosa certainly was known to diehard fans prior to joining AEW, but it is safe to say that she became a household name through her blood feud with Baker during the early days of the organization. Having her make her triumphant return to assist Hayter and the good doctor would even up the odds for the “homegrown” team.
Thunder Rosa has a story to tell with multiple people in the angle
Before suffering a back injury that forced Rosa to vacate the women’s title, she was arguably the most popular performer in the division. Who became champion when Thunder had to vacate that belt? Toni Storm. Bringing Rosa back to even the odds would allow her to work her way back into ring shape while competing in tag matches until she’s back at full speed.
Multiple storylines could splinter off from this decision as well due to Baker not fully trusting Thunder, or vice versa, leading to the long-awaited split of the Britt/Hayter pairing. Also, this would allow Thunder to get revenge on the person that took her claim to a championship she never lost.
This story needs a spark, as there is just something missing from it at this moment. There are other options to fill the void, but none better than the former champion.
