AEW needs to make moves to continue to build the women’s division and signing Mariah May would be a step in the right direction.

There’s a wealth of young talent rising through the ranks of professional wrestling. Whether it is Ilja Dragunov in WWE, Julia Hart in AEW, or many other names across other organizations, the future generation of wrestling is in great hands. One individual that fans are expecting to see show up in All Elite Wrestling is Mariah May and she’s someone that fans of wrestling should keep their eye on.

With four years of wrestling experience under her belt, May has vaulted up the watch list of young talent to watch. Her career has traversed many different organizations throughout England, but it was her recent time in STARDOM that has helped her grab the attention of so many people. Look at her short, but strong track record. Her August match against Giulia is a “must-see” for someone looking for a Match of the Year candidate in women’s wrestling. And she’s had several other great outings, such as the match against Momo Watanabe a few weeks later.

AEW needs a few things to change to improve the overall utilization of the women’s division, but bringing in a quality name like May is a step in the right direction. She’s another young talent that can be used to set the future of the division. While some others like Hart and Anna Jay need more reps in the ring, May is already capable of hanging with some of the best on the roster. She’s the type of signing that fills the gap for both needs.

Rumors continue to grow that May is heading to AEW. She recently had her last match with STARDOM and hinted on social media about having a plane to catch. Predictions are that she’ll show up in AEW, and with that promotion’s close partnership with New Japan and having leveraged some STARDOM performers in the past, that makes total sense.

All Elite Wrestling has a ton of talent in its women’s division, even though the company consistently fails to present them to fans well. Mariah May would be another important name added to that list, and the company would get a name that can be used to build the future.
