Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins would be the two biggest free agents available if their contracts come to an end in 2024.

2024 is going to be a big year in professional wrestling. Both AEW and WWE are gaining momentum, and the free agency space has already created some wild moments. With so many big names coming to the end of their contracts in 2024, there are certain to be some important jumps. One of the most important couples in wrestling will both be free agents, as Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are up for new deals according to reports.

Fightful Select reported on Monday, December 11 that Rollins’s deal is set to expire in 2024. According to the report a WWE official stated, “We would not dispute that information.” The report goes on to state that both deals are slated to end in June.

Lynch and Rollins are the most important duo in professional wrestling today. Thankfully, not because they are presented as a couple on screen, but because they are both superstars in their individual ways and know the value of building the roster around them. Lynch just spent an extended time on WWE NXT, where her presence was a big boost to not only that women’s division, but the brand as a whole. She has also openly talked about how important it is for the women’s division to get equal time and story-building as their male counterparts.

Rollins is headed toward a major storyline with CM Punk for WrestleMania season. But even before he gets to that, Rollins has done a ton of work to rebuild the relevancy of WWE Raw. As Roman Reigns held all the gold, Rollins remained well-protected in a sense. And it was clear that he was the man to get the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as that brand rebuilt its top title. That run has widely been a success with major feuds against Drew McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura, Finn Balor, and several big-name matches to boot. Rollins is a key piece to the future of wrestling within WWE.

The bidding war for these two will be huge. It will be interesting to see if their deals coming up at the same time are intentional – as it gives them extreme leverage against whichever company looks to bring them in. Of course, WWE will make their re-signing a priority, but several stars have shown what they can achieve when leaving WWE for other companies such as All Elite Wrestling. You can also expect Tony Khan will be looking at the opportunity to sign two of the biggest stars in wrestling. Imagine some of the matches that could happen such as Toni Storm versus Becky Lynch or Seth Rollins versus Will Ospreay – there are so many choices that would get fans out of their seats.

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch being free agents in 2024 is a major story. WWE needs to make all the moves necessary to keep them on board, and the potential bidding war is going to be monumental for both of them.
