4 pillars for the future of WWE men's division
WWE has spent quite a bit of time rebuilding both its men’s and women’s divisions. There is a slew of young performers both on the main roster and in WWE NXT who are poised to be some of the top stars in the future. The term “pillars” is thrown around quite often when talking about foundational pieces in wrestling promotions. Here are four names who stand to be considered the pillars of WWE’s men’s division in due time.
Bron Breakker
Do not be surprised if Bron Breakker is enjoying his first run as WWE World Heavyweight Champion by this time in 2025. WWE quickly cemented him as a vital piece for the company’s future. He was booked as a conquering champion in WWE NXT and has continued as a part of the WWE Monday Night Raw roster. Yes, he recently dropped the WWE Intercontinental Championship to the uber-over Jey Uso, but he’s going to remain in the title picture for some time to come. It doesn’t matter whether he’s a face or heel, Bron Breakker is a threat to whoever holds a singles title in WWE and will be for a long time.
Carmelo Hayes
Like Breakker, Hayes was well-protected for much of his run in WWE NXT. That hasn’t exactly translated in the same fashion as a part of the SmackDown roster, but don’t worry Carmelo Hayes is a piece to build around for the future. Keeping him and Breakker separate for the time being is a smart move, because they have the potential to headline WrestleMania in the future. Carmelo Hayes should be expected to capture the WWE United States Championship soon, in what should be the first of many title reigns to come.
Oba Femi
Oba Femi gives off big-time champion energy. He’s so new to the industry but has picked up so much of what makes a WWE superstar just that. You can see that he’s feeling much more comfortable in his role as a major threat to the WWE NXT roster, and Shawn Michaels is doing a great job positioning him as a take-on-all-comers type of star. He’s another that has WrestleMania main event written all over him.
Julius Creed
Julius Creed is the sleeper of the group. He’s shown some ridiculous flashes of athleticism while on Raw and in NXT. He has yet to be given the space to shine as a singles competitor, but that’s expected to come. Few have compared him to Brock Lesnar, which is a big deal looking at what he was able to do in the ring. Julius Creed has all the makings to be a star if he breaks out of the tag team division.
