WWE NXT is considered the developmental brand for the promotion, but frequently one of the most interesting talking points coming out of the company each week. This can be for both good and bad reasons, but hey, at least people are talking. One thing people talk about is the possibility of main roster call-ups. At some point in the New Year, several stars will make the move from Tuesday to either Monday or Friday. These are four performers who are destined to get the call in 2026.
Oba Femi
Oba Femi should be on the main roster right now. There was no need for him to face Ricky Saints for a second time. There was no need for him to defeat Ricky Saints. Nor should he defend the title anymore. Just have him drop it like Asuka did years ago. Oba Femi is main roster and main event ready. He’s set to face Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event and that should be the start of him going on a quest to show why he is The Destroyer. Oba Femi must hold a title at some point in 2026 or that is flat out promotional malpractice.
Trick Williams
Trick Williams to the main roster is long overdue. Williams found a lot of success in NXT, capturing the NXT Championship two-times and having an interesting run as the TNA World Champion. He’s continued to grow in his abilities as a sports entertainer, and he fits in perfectly on the main roster. Fans have seen him show up on SmackDown in the past, and they were ready to chant “Whoop Dat Trick.” Trick Williams could be a star on the main roster if given the opportunity to run with the ball.
Lola Vice
Lola Vice has a different level of appeal for WWE. She’s come into the company at a time when the organization is focusing on its expansion into Mexico. She’s found herself featured on AAA quite often since the acquisition. Vice could get bumped up to the main roster where she becomes the “face” of the company’s push to build a larger presence South of the Border. She has the growing fan backing and fits a specific “demographic” that WWE loves to push within the women’s division. Do not be surprised if she shows up on the main roster next year.
Jordynne Grace
Jordynne Grace has an interesting position in WWE. If she remains in WWE NXT, she’s not going to be the NXT Champion. The promotion seems set on using that title to build up young talent, and Grace (while only 30 years old) has been a well-known name in professional wrestling for years. In many ways, she’s being booked like Natalya was on the main roster. That brings up the other side of the coin. If Grace was moved to the main roster, would she get booked any better than Natalya? That’s a tough question to answer. But, Grace is running out of things to do in NXT and she could at least have some stellar matches against some of the best names on the roster.
