All Elite Wrestling is adding an important piece to the women’s division. Fightful Select reports that not only is Mina Shirakawa finishing up with Stardom, but she’s headed to AEW. Fans will already be familiar with Shirakawa and she’s a strong performer to add to an already stacked women’s division.

Fightful Select dropped the news on Tuesday, March 25. The report referenced news from Tokyo Sports that Shirakawa is heading to America. Select then confirmed that she is in fact joining the AEW roster. According to the report, there’s a press conference planned in the coming days.

Shirakawa is an experienced veteran who can be a key player for this roster. Fans were already familiar with her presence, as she played a key role in the storyline between Toni Storm and Mariah May. Having her on the roster full-time gives her the opportunity to continue angles with both women, while interacting with the rest of the division which includes top names like Mercedes Mone, Kris Statlander, Riho, Hikaru Shida, and several more.

Shirakawa is a multiple-time champion, holding belts in organizations like Stardom, RevPro and more. Her resume includes some excellent matches including her 2023 contest against Tam Nakano, her 2023 match against Utami Hayashishita, and her match against Mone at Wrestle Dynasty back in January this year.

AEW has a stacked women’s division. There are several names who are more than ready to take their stance in the spotlight. Mina Shirakawa is an important addition to this roster and she can come in and have an immediate impact.
