Chad Gable must hold a WWE singles title in 2025

Fans are clamoring about the excellent debut of Pentagon on the January 13 episode of Monday Night Raw. The newest member to the WWE roster was met with a huge reaction in San Jose. One of the reasons he was met with a huge reaction was due to having an excellent dance partner in Chad Gable. Gable gave fans yet another reminder why he’s one of the best in the company and 2025 must be the year he picks up his first singles title.

In 2023, WWE had something exceptionally hot with Chad Gable versus GUNTHER. Gunther was at the height of his power, destroying opponents left and right as he climbed to a 666-day run as the Intercontinental Champion. He’d eventually drop that belt to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40, but long before that, fans wanted that title around the waist of Gable. And they wanted it to come at the expense of Gunther.

But months before that, it was Gable and Gunther having amazing matches that anchored WWE Monday Night Raw. Fans wanted to see Gable find a way to overcome the odds and get that major win; WrestleMania was the perfect platform for that. That never happened, but what did happen after that was WWE failing to capitalize on Gable’s popularity. As he turned heel on Zayn, there was a big match to make against Otis which could have helped launch both men into something interesting. Instead, the organization went another way.

Now, it’s 2025 and Gable continues to show the world that he’s one of the most underrated wrestlers in the business. If WWE is genuinely interested in rebuilding its midcard, Gable is right there as a man with all the chops to do so. It doesn’t matter if it is the United States or Intercontinental Championship, both would look good around Gable’s waist. He could even head to WWE NXT for a stint and hold the NXT Championship. Imagine Gable going on a run on Tuesdays taking on some of the younger talent that the company is building for the future.

Chad Gable is a fantastic professional wrestler and an amazing character in all the ways. Fans will be talking about Pentagon’s debut, but WWE picked the perfect person to stand across from him. Gable’s performance stood out and 2025 should be the year he picks up his first singles title.
