Jade Cargill made quite an impact at the Elimination Chamber. She attacked Naomi in vicious fashion, continuing the mystery about who attacked her and forcing her to the sidelines for several months. This is a huge angle for the women’s division, as it involves three of the most important names of the roster. WWE must do these ladies and this story right or fans will let them hear it every step of the way.

Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Bianca Belair are three of the most important names in women’s wrestling. Much like Mercedes Mone, they attract a different level of fan, one that transcends beyond the in-ring and wrestling action. In their own way, each of those names is or has the potential to be a mainstream star. This is why their fans call on promotions to treat them with care. Those fanbases can become toxic at times, but that’s a conversation for another day.

Many have pushed for WWE to feature more women’s angles outside the title picture. It has been too common to see the champions, their challengers, and no one else from the women’s division. Building angles that are important but lack a championship is vital for developing the future of the division. Jade Cargill versus Naomi and, eventually Bianca Belair does just that.

Jade Cargill versus Naomi and Bianca Belair are dream matches

The minute Jade Cargill stepped into All Elite Wrestling four years ago fans went right to booking dream matches. They’ve wanted to see her matched up against Belair, Mone, and Naomi for years. WWE went the smart route of aligning the three ladies when Cargill was ready for on-screen action, but the time is now to tell what should be a big story for months to come.

WWE can’t get lazy at this moment. Yes, this isn’t a title feud, but it should get the same care as the other angles leading into WrestleMania. Bianca Belair already has a big match slated for WrestleMania 41; there’s no reason Cargill versus Naomi shouldn’t be on that card as well. If done right, it should be a moment that leads to more intrigue in a potential match between Cargill and Belair.

Triple H continues to get a lot of pressure from wrestling fans on his utilization of the women’s division and minorities. He’s leveraged some names like Belair, Naomi, and Cargill well – but one step in the other direction will be met with harsh criticism.

While all eyes may be on John Cena and what he did in the final segment of the show, Jade Cargill kicked off something big at Elimination Chamber. Here’s to hoping this angle gets the booking deserves because it can be something big for WWE.
