Professional wrestling has several different forms of presentation. There’s what fans know in major promotions like WWE and All Elite Wrestling. There’s comedy-specific wrestling, women’s focused promotions, and more. Bloodsport, under the GCW banner, is a throwback to shoot fighting and a tribute to a cult classic film. Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII is a few short weeks away and the card is stacked with some of the best names for this format.

On March 25, Barnett announced that WWE NXT competitor, Charlie Dempsey, is set to return to the format. Lord William Regal’s son is set for his fourth appearance in Bloodsport as he boasts a 2-1 record in the promotion. But this time around, he’s joining another slate that features some of the best names for this style of competition.

As of March 25, the following names are set to appear Miyu Yamashita, David Modzmanashvili, Tom Lawlor, Timothy Thatcher, Simon Gotch, Shinya Aoki, Jonathan Gresham, Natalya, Royce Isaacs, Maika, Leyla Hirsch, Konami, Pete Dunne, Gabe Kidd, Karrion Kross, and Karmen Petrovic. With a little less than a month left until the event, expect some other interesting names to join the fray.

In recent years, WWE has started allowing signed performers to take some matches in other promotions, so it is always fun to see these competitors in a different light. The biggest names from WWE this time around are main roster competitors, Natalya and Kross. With this event set for WrestleMania Week, those in attendance should pay special attention to the crowd because there’s no telling who will show up.

Professional wrestling comes in so many different presentations. GCW and Josh Barnett have found a beloved way to bring wrestling to fans in a different fashion. Bloodsport XIII is going to be a fun show from top to bottom and should not be missed.
