AEW All In 2025 features several big matches across the card. With a few days left until the show on Saturday, July 12, there are expectations that even more will be announced. All of the title matches on the show have major stakes, with the winners looking to set the tone for what is to come. Adam Cole will defend the AEW TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher, and this is a match that Fletcher must win not only for his trajectory, but for the championship as well.

The AEW TNT Championship was set up to be the main midcard title for All Elite Wrestling when it was established back in 2020. However, that has not been the case. It has quickly fallen in stature, and in many ways, it feels like a major step back to have that championship strapped around a competitor’s waist. Adam Cole versus Kyle Fletcher has the potential to correct that issue.

Adam Cole is a performer who fans love, but he’s not in the same position he was in when he surprised everyone at AEW All Out 2021. He walked through the curtain to the surprise of everyone in attendance and kicked off what should have been a major run in the company. That has not been the case.

Cole has been sidelined by major injuries and inadequate storylines, which dulled his momentum. With the TNT Championship, he feels more like a Ring of Honor talent than someone who is the main event threat he was expected to be. It is not his fault, but the AEW roster has long passed him by. This is why it is time to put that title on Fletcher’s waist.

It is time to put an AEW singles title on Kyle Fletcher

There was a moment when it looked like AEW was ready to strap the rocket to Kyle Fletcher. Rightfully so. The 26-year-old star is already one of the best wrestlers in the world. His catalog of standout matches speaks for itself, but also look at how his peers and fans speak of his performance. Fletcher is one of those performers who should be seen as the future of professional wrestling.

Fletcher had a wealth of momentum behind him heading into the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. He’d lose in the semifinals to “Hangman” Adam Page in one of the best matches of the year. While he’s remained relevant by picking up several wins, the quality of competition shows that Fletcher has taken a step back on the roster.

That’s fine, however, as it is worthwhile to move performers up and down the card. Keeping Fletcher strong with multiple wins makes sense along the way. Now, it is time to pay all that off by putting this championship in his hands, setting him on the course of a strong run that should last the rest of 2025 and into the New Year. Even with his strong booking in the company to date, Fletcher has yet to hold a championship in AEW, and it is time to fix this matter.

Kyle Fletcher is the right man to rebuild the AEW TNT Championship. It is clear that Tony Khan sees a lot in the young performer. It would make sense to see him defeat Adam Cole at All In 2025 and go on a major run into what should be a huge 2026 for him.
