Night Two of the 2024 WWE Draft went down on Monday Night Raw, with more superstars staying put and some switching shows. Looking at the full slate of moves, these were the three biggest selections made during the second night of draft picks.

Damage CTRL to Monday Night Raw

Damage CTRL is an important group in women’s wrestling. It’s rare that a group of women of color are placed in a prominent position within any promotion. Asuka, IYO Sky, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai represent a lot more than just being a heel faction. Unfortunately, they’ve dropped titles along the way and it looks like the Kabuki Warriors are going to drop the tag titles to Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at WWE Backlash. Still, this is a big move for Monday Night Raw as it gives that show four capable women who can fit in the title picture either as a group or on their own.

Braun Strowman to Monday Night Raw

Braun Strowman has been out of action since May of 2023 when a serious injury forced him to the sideline. It looks like the “Monster Among Men” is cleared and prepared to return the competition. Bringing him over to Raw brings in another big name that can offer up some “fresh” matchups near the top of the card. Imagine Strowman in angles against the likes of Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Gunther without the horrific booking of Vince McMahon in tow. There are opportunities to do some different and intriguing things there, and this was a pick that should bring some interest when he makes his big return.

Ilja Dragunov to Monday Night Raw

The Mad Dragon is officially a member of the Monday Night Raw roster. While everyone is excited and rightfully so, it will be interesting to see how Ilja Dragunov is worked into the brand. He’s different from the vast majority of the group. Perhaps different from everyone except one man, GUNTHER. A man who he’s had two extremely violent and well-received matches with years ago. While the tie-breaker is a must-make match for the future, it will be interesting to see how Dragunov’s edition to the show elevates the entire roster.
