3 destined AEW champions of the future
All Elite Wrestling has a stacked roster with several stars at different phases in their career. Looking at the individuals available, there are several who stand out as potential champions of the future, ready to carry the flag of the company. However, these three names are near locks for individuals that must be world champions in the future.
Konosuke Takeshita
Konosuke Takeshita continues to remind the wrestling community that he’s one of the best in the world. Every time he steps into the ring, his performances shine a light on why he’s recognized as someone who has all the abilities to be seen as the best, even though he doesn’t have the opportunity to hold the AEW championship. Whenever the bell sounds, Takeshita thrives from start to finish, keeping up with any foil who is standing across from him. At some point, AEW will see the need to put the AEW Championship around his waist before another organization scoops him up with a long-term deal and places him at the top of the men’s division.
Daniel Garcia
Daniel Garcia checks all the boxes as a future champion. The fans love him. He’s young. He can wrestle and perform as a sports entertainer. There’s nothing he can’t do. It seems like AEW recognizes this and has continued to heat him up, just to suddenly cool him down for inexplicable reasons. Fans want to see Garcia sitting at the top, and the Ring of Honor Championship is no longer enough. All Elite Wrestling presents itself as an alternative to what WWE has given fans for years, and Daniel Garcia is the perfect personification of what sets this company apart.
Darby Allin
Darby Allin is a made man in All Elite Wrestling. He was one of the first signed in the company and perhaps the organization’s first “home grown” star. He’s a multiple-time TNT Champion and looks like he will grab that title once again. But there will be a point where he rises above that mid-card championship and once again sets his sights on the main title. When that comes, fans should expect to see him hold that championship. Allin is one of those guys that will most likely be in AEW for the remainder of his career and along the way it makes sense to see him grab every available championship.
