WWE Bad Blood is the next PLE on the schedule, set for Saturday, October 5 from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be interesting to see if WWE leverages Bad Blood as a show to bring several big feuds to a close. Just the idea of “bad blood” is enough to spur that thought. Looking forward to the show in about a month, here are three matches that would make sense for the next PLE.

Liv Morgan versus Rhea Ripley

There isn’t another women’s feud that features more intense emotions than Liv Morgan versus Rhea Ripley. It is understandable that many have expressed concerns about the nature of this feud, especially as WWE is named in the Janel Grant lawsuit versus Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and the promotion.

Yet, this is the angle that has stood front-and-center in the women’s division. Being the champion isn’t the focal point, as this angle is about two women who absolutely hate each other. Morgan and Ripley went from being friends to enemies after Ripley turned first and injured Morgan. Morgan returned the favor once she returned to the active roster, taking things even further by causing The Judgment Day to fall apart. It will be interesting to see if this match is put in a Hell in a Cell, or if another stipulation will come into play. Either way, this match must be on a card titled Bad Blood.

Drew McIntyre versus CM Punk

Drew McIntyre versus CM Punk is one of the biggest feuds going in the industry today. Fans will argue about it online, but for the last nine months, Punk and McIntyre have kept people glued to their battle. They’ve continued to attack and accost each other each week. Now, things must come to ahead in the Hell in a Cell. It makes no sense for this match to occur in any other format. Lock these two men in a cage and let them pummel each other until one is victorious. Then it will be time to move them forward toward the next step. That is, until they come back together when the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is on the line.

Xavier Woods versus Kofi Kingston

This is the long shot. WWE has hinted at a split between The New Day members, much to the chagrin of fans around the world. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are two members of one of the most important factions in recent wrestling history. But with Big E potentially never returning, it’s time to do something different with this duo. A split is coming, and when it happens the hearts of millions will break in unison. Woods and Kingston can tell a powerful story through battle, and if this angle is really going to kick off, putting them against each other on Bad Blood would be a great call.
