Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI continued the trend of this promotion being one of the premiere independent presentations in business today. The latest edition of the show featured performers from WWE/NXT, TNA, TJPW, ROH/AEW, NJPW, and MLW – all on the same show. It’s quickly becoming a can’t-miss option for those who love professional wrestling.

While fans are clamoring over the recent inclusion of several names from WWE in Bloodsport, this brand of pro wrestling has long been an attraction for fans looking for something different in the industry. Famed mixed martial artist, and former UFC champion, Josh Barnett took up the mantle after Matt Riddle was signed to WWE. In the years that followed, this brand took the campy nature of a cult classic 1980s film and built it into a brand that fans flock to watch.

And it continues to garner interest. Shanya Baszler stood center ring to proclaim that this is the best presentation of professional wrestling and for many that holds true. Her matches against Miyu Yamashita and Masha Slamovich this year are two of the best seen in this brand since its inception.

The inclusion of stars from other companies will only continue to help it grow. It’s especially interesting to watch as WWE continues to look for other ways to collaborate with other companies. Perhaps Bloodsport will be the real catalyst that leads to some sort of partnership between AEW and WWE in the future. The masses will have to wait and see.

For those that love professional wrestling, but still want to see it in a different way than is presented on television each week, Bloodsport is the best option. Taking performers with real fighting experience, and putting them in the worked arena to tell a short, but succinct story is an entertaining presentation of the art form. Whether you’re near a show in the future or catching it on Triller TV, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport is becoming can’t-miss professional wrestling.
