The excitement around the 2024 Royal Rumble is palpable. The women’s division frequently has exciting moments because there’s more opportunity for surprises within that group. Speculation heading into the 2024 edition of the showcase match is that Becky Lynch is the favorite to pick up the win. Another big moment comes when the final four participants realize they are that close to victory. These are four women who stand out as favorites to make it down to the last few individuals in the match.

Bayley

Bayley is poised for a big run. She is the woman who started Damage CTRL, but in a few weeks, fans should expect to see her kicked out of the group. Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane, Asuka, and Dakota Kai versus Bayley would make sense heading into WrestleMania season. Especially if Bayley ends up in a singles match against Sky for the WWE Women’s Championship.

That would be the opening to give Bayley the big WrestleMania moment that she hasn’t hit in her career. Setting up that moment by having her win the Rumble would be huge, especially for her fan base. Imagine if Bayley and Becky Lynch are the last two in the match. They would put on a show before getting to the final woman left standing.

Nia Jax

Nia Jax has been on quite the run since returning to WWE full-time in September. Fans have long criticized nearly everything about Jax, but this run has been much better than in the past. Her matches, presentations, and even promos are improved in several ways. She and Becky Lynch had a stellar match at WWE Raw Day 1 and many expect her to be the next challenger for Rhea Ripley.

Jax can be seen as one of the last four women in the match and a major hurdle for the winner to overcome. Or the also predictable setting of the other three women banding together to get her out. Jax has played her role well and that may also mean seeing her be one of the last four ladies in the match.

Becky Lynch

As mentioned, Becky Lynch is the favorite to win this year. Yes, she has one victory under her belt, but Lynch’s star power is not waning. She versus Rhea Ripley is a WrestleMania 40 main event match in all ways. Seeing Lynch get there by winning the Rumble would be a testament to her 2023 run where she gave so much to the entire women’s division.

Lynch could be a favorite to win from one of the early positions in the match. She’s won from one of the last spots, so seeing her go about it another way would be an interesting story to tell.

Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill’s in-ring introduction should happen at the Royal Rumble. WWE has taken the right stance of going slow with her development. But this moment is perfect for a brief intro and the company can either slot her into a role on either show or move her back into skills development for a post-WrestleMania debut. The company is playing with house money when it comes to her. Seeing Cargill come to the ring in one of the later spots, get some eliminations and perhaps dump out Jax by herself before Bayley and Lynch getting her out would be a fantastic way to make her a player in the future.
