Rhea Ripley is one of the biggest stars on the WWE roster. In fact, she’s one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling. It’s time to recognize that WWE has done a complete 180-degree correction in building her as a main roster focal point. WWE Elimination Chamber showed how much of a superstar she’s become and that momentum must continue through WrestleMania 40. That means she must be booked to defeat Becky Lynch in a 100 percent clean fashion.

The match between Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley brings together two of the most important women on the WWE roster. Outside of Bianca Belair, no one else has the alluring adulation of the fans. Charlotte Flair remains a divisive name on the roster because of the perception that she’s put into her position because of her name – even though she continually excels at her craft. But Ripley, Lynch, and Belair pulled themselves up to prominent positions even in the face of unwarranted criticism.

But this is truly Ripley’s time. At 27 years of age, Ripley is one of the best performers in the industry. Her spot on the ranking shoots up when breaking it down to those under 30 years old. She has the potential to have professional wrestling in her grip for years to come. WWE should note her as one of the pillars of the company’s future and kicking that off with a victory over Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 is a step in the right direction.

Lynch hinted at the idea behind the build weeks ago. She pointed out that she questions whether or not she can beat Ripley. A legend such as herself questioning whether she can overcome this challenge, in light of all the challenges she’s already overcome, is already a hint at Ripley’s overall perception. There’s no arguing that she’s a star and that’s a glowing endorsement from Lynch in just a few words on the microphone.

On the other hand, Ripley’s motivation should be based on the idea that she has never beaten Lynch in a one-on-one match. According to Cagematch, they’ve battled in four singles matches, with Lynch getting her hand raised each time. But those weren’t this iteration of Rhea Ripley. And this version of her is the one to put “The Man” down in the middle of the ring.

Rhea Ripley versus Becky Lynch should get all the promotion needed for a main event-worthy contest. These two ladies deserve to headline Night One of WrestleMania. Regardless of what night they dance and where they are on the card, it’s time to see Rhea Ripley get a clean win and walk out of WrestleMania 40 as the reigning champion.
