WWE SmackDown Predictions: Uncle Howdy Will Haunt Cody Rhodes

WWE SmackDown is kickstarting its road to Clash at the Castle 2024, and WWE has already confirmed one World Title Match for said PPV: Damian Priest (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Title. It looks like rematch clauses are back in the WWE because Drew McIntyre has a statutory rematch clause after losing his World Title in five minutes to Damian Priest via MITB Cash-In at WrestleMania 40. The big segments planned for this episode are: (1) Cody Rhodes Opens The Show and (2) Queen Nia Celebration. WWE has also confirmed that Bayley and Piper Niven will continue their title feud.

In other news regarding WWE SmackDown, LA Knight and Carmelo Hayes have been feuding lately, and their feud has interwoven with A-Town-Down-Under tag title feud with the Street Profits. It looks like A-Town-Down Under has a big red target on their backs as tag champs because DIY also has their eyes on tag gold and has been picking up a ton of momentum in weekly matches lately with even a small tease of a heel turn. Also, after a controversial finish to the KOTR Finals, Randy Orton finds himself dealing with not only The Bloodline but also King Gunther himself this summer.

The championship Cody Rhodes has is the championship Bray Wyatt never got his rematch for and also the championship Wyatt never got pinned to lose in the first place. When Roman Reigns won that title at Payback, he pinned Braun Strowman in a triple-threat match but never pinned Wyatt. Since Uncle Howdy is purportedly a continuation. of Wyatt's storyline, it can be presumed that his main target will be Cody.
