WWE WrestleMania 40 is almost three weeks away, and the WWE has made five matches official for this “premium live event”: (1) Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, (2) Seth Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship, (3) Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship, (4) Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the World Women's Championship, and (5) Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns & The Rock. Since this event is two nights, it is expected that there will be seven to eight matches per night.

The following will provide some early match card predictions for what should be one of the most exciting PPVs of the year: WWE WrestleMania 40.

Judgment Day (c) vs. Awesome Truth vs. The New Day vs. DIY vs. A-Town Down Under vs. New Catch Republic [Undisputed Tag Team Titles]

Awesome Truth will dethrone Judgment Day to become the new Undisputed Tag Team Champions because they have the best story for the victory after all the comical mind games R-Truth has put Judgment Day through in the past 5 months. The Miz and R-Truth did team up over 10 years ago; despite their compelling act as a heel tag team back then, they failed to win the tag team titles together. Now that they have turned things around and have reunited as a babyface tag team in this long term story, it makes the most sense to reward their efforts with a fulfilling WrestleMania moment.

By process of elimination, New Day already had their time in the limelight, DIY and New Catch Republic already lost their tag title match against Judgment Day, and A-Town Down Under have been jobbing too much to be considered credible champions. Judgment Day, the current champs, need to lose their tag titles to give Damian Priest some space to focus on cashing in his MITB Contract. Going forward, Awesome Truth will walk into Miz's hometown of Cleveland at SummerSlam in August as the tag team champions and defend against fellow Cleveland native, Johnny Gargano, and Ciampa of DIY.

Prediction: Awesome Truth

Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Naomi & Mystery [Undisputed Tag Team Titles]

Naomi & Mystery will dethrone Kabuki Warriors to become the new Undisputed Tag Team Champions because Naomi still has to win back the tag titles she never lost. Now, Mystery is not that green seahorse from SpongeBob. The individual who would have fit best in this spot is Sasha Banks, considering that she was Naomi's tag team partner before relinquishing the tag titles and walking out of WWE. However, since Sasha Banks already debuted at AEW Big Business as Mercedes Mone, the best bet for that mystery partner is Jade Cargill, who stared off with Damage Control weeks ago.

It can be argued that Bianca Belair could be the mystery tag partner instead, but she already shut that idea down in a backstage conversation with Naomi due to her history with Bayley and Damage Control in 2023, and she is already feuding with Tiffany Stratton. Meanwhile, although she is a dominant force and it is not characteristic for her to be in a tag team, Jade Cargill would benefit immensely in a tag team situation with Naomi until she gradually gets her feet wet in the WWE and pursues her singles career to the fullest. There's not much story to that option, but it was teased and will happen.

Prediction: Naomi & Jade Cargill
