The March 10 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured a face-to-face-to-face moment between WWE Women’s World Champion, IYO Sky, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley. Expectations are that the match between Belair and Sky at WrestleMania 41 will turn into a triple threat. This will be a fun showcase during the two-night affair. However, WWE needs to make sure it books Ripley versus Belair as a main event feature at some time in the future.

The WWE women’s division is packed with talent. Yet, there are few names who’ve reached the level of Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. These two performers have crossover appeal. They could immediately step out of the wrestling ring and into a variety of other projects, including television and movies.

Wrestling has helped boost the stars of performers like John Cena and The Rock beyond the industry. Even Mercedes Mone transitioned to television and other projects. The same could happen for Ripley and Belair at some point in the near future, especially since WWE is now owned by Endeavor with close ties to the entertainment industry.

Rhea Ripley versus Bianca Belair could headline any WrestleMania

Every year, there’s a debate about whether a women’s match will get the opportunity to headline either night of WrestleMania. Not just in the sense of being called a main event but going on as the last match of Night One or Night Two. Bianca Belair versus Rhea Ripley squashes all doubts as a match with all the cache to close out the show.

Ripley and Belair represent the current generation of superstar in women’s wrestling. While their paths to their current position are different, they ran similar journeys at the same time.

Since her time in NXT, Ripley was expected to reach main-event status when she hit the main roster. She did so quickly. So much so, WWE under Vince McMahon initially squandered her momentum with that big defeat at the hands of Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36. While time has passed since that match, it’s hard to deny that Ripley’s star has started to eclipse that of Flair.

Then there’s Belair. While she was in NXT, fan support lifted her to the main event, but she failed every attempt to secure that championship. Yet, when she reached the main roster, the proverbial rocket was strapped to her back. Belair has since become one of the most important and well-protected members of the entire WWE roster.

Rhea Ripley versus Bianca Belair looks perfect on the marquee in all forms. These two women scream superstar in wrestling and all things entertainment. WWE must find a way to get these two women across from each other in a main-event singles match at WrestleMania. It may not happen at WrestleMania 41, but it’s a mandatory contest for any that follows.
